what do you think about your health?
how do you measure up to this guidline about health.
" Balance nutrition with calories"
Many people eat too many calories yet fail to eat enough nutrient dense foods. Limit the intake of saturated and trans fat, cholesterol, added sugars, and salt. Choose foods high in vitamins, minerals and fiber. The USDA’S Mypyramid and the DASH eating plan are good plans that translate nutrient recommendations into food choices.
I have a reason why I put it in this section!
Regardless of how well you eat or how much you exercise, you’re still going to get a toe tag one day.
For years I’ve been using real butter, real sugar, drinking 2 cups of coffee per day, snacking on crap, and you know what?
My bad cholesterol is low, and my good cholesterol is low.
Overall, I’m in really good health, and I rarely see the doctor except for an outbreak of poison ivy.

2 things come to my mind when people talk about sacrificing for healthy lifesyles:
1) No one is going to get out of this world alive no matter what they do
2) No one that ever died was healthy at the moment of their death
It’s all kind of pointless.

I dont need someone to give me guidelines or tell me how to eat. I had one of those already and i graduated. She was my mom. I am healthy, fit and less than 15% bodyfat. 39 years old. I eat vegetables and fruits everyday, lean meats and limit my starches. Just like momma taught me.

I am fine.
I sometimes tend to eat alot of fast food but I always work it off. Im not fat but Im not a stick either. I can handle my weight and I can run a significant distance without getting tired
I live my life. Im not all health consious. If calories didnt make you fat then I would be eating fast food everyday. I would much rather live my life enjoying all aspects (including food) then to be all worried about my health.Life is too short and Im not scared of dying

Human beings are animals. Therefore I believe we should eat a more natural diet with an emphasis on fruits, vegetables, and nuts.
Far lower caloric intake (around 60% of the average American diet) and low consumption of meat are associated with a longer lifespan and less instance of heart disease and stroke.
I choose not to eat flour or sugar and intake minimal dairy. But most people don’t have the time or self-discipline to maintain a diet that doesn’t include fast-food and chocolate.

I eat the same foods I’ve eaten all my life. Beef, pork, poultry and fish with starch and vegetables. I eat fruits every day. I exercise 5 to 6 times per week. I’ve lost 45lbs in the about eight months and have kept it off for nearly 4yrs. Poor people are obese because they can’t afford to buy the food you speak of. I mean, what would you do if you only had $5 dollars in you pocket? Would you buy a salad at MacDonald’s for five bucks or five hamburgers for one dollar each? I’m on Social Security disability and living in subsidized housing and the biggest expense I have is FOOD. Sometimes I don’t know why I do these things for my health…just to prolong my existence in poverty.
