Too much vitamin K?

February 8th, 2010 | by admin |

I’ve heard that taking too much vitamin K orally can put your health at risk. I can understand thats why each multivitamin tablet only has 25% vitamin K, but the fresh spinach leaves that come in a bag (in the produce isle of the grocery store) have like 500% vitamin K (it says so on the nutrition label only on some packages) and well I eat them frequently. This might sound dumb, but would it be safe to eat the whole bag. lol. I’ve always just wondered that.

Yes dear this is very true I am on blood thinner and I ahve to watch how much green leafy veg. I eat.
They contain vitamin K

True, I like spinach too— and I’ve eating a lot of it at once… but don’t know if vitamin K is different if you are eating it from a raw source or taking it as a vitamin. Good question. I do know any vitamins your body doesn’t intake from a vitamin is discarded in your urine, which turns out to be a very bright yellow.
