is it healthier to eat 3 small/average oranges or 1 large banana?
the oranges are small so about 60 calories each? equaling 180 calories total. and the banana is pretty big so im estimating 150-165 calories. so calorie wise the banana because it has like 25 less cals. but nutrition and vitamin and health wise which would be the best option and why
The oranges came from the US, probably Florida or California.
The banana came on a ship from Central or South America.
Oranges are big on vitamin C, bananas are big on potassium.
Eat the banana now, because it’s ripe for a short period.
Eat the oranges later, they’ll still be good.
The calories you get from fruit are good calories. Whether you eat the three oranges or the one banana doesn’t make a bit of difference. Both fruits are loaded with nutrition. You don’t have to measure everything in terms of calories.

oranges are healthier because of the vitamin c and everything, banana has lots of potassium though…i’d eat the oranges cuz they taste better. 25 calories doesnt matter…its just fruit. you know, i’d eat both. calories from fruit have a very small impact on your health and you’ll eat fewer empty calories from bread or other food items later.

I am with richard on this one. both have excellent vitamins. be well rounded and have half the oranges and half the banana and save the rest for tommorrow.

Eat them both – fruits have so much fiber and vitamins you don’t really have to count the calories. They both have different vitamins and if you eat them both you will eat less junk later on.

OMG!!! They are both good for you and each contain something that you need. If you are dieting you Need the potassium more than anything. But the calories in both are not bad for you. GO FOR IT AND EAT THEM ALL!
