How important is to take a daily vitamin for one’s health?

My mother says that I should start taking a daily multivitamin supplement every day now that I’m "growing" (I’m 25). Is it necessary?

If you’re getting all the nutrients you need from your food, then you don;t need to take a multi vitamin, but who has time to make sure that they eat a balanced diet these days? – most people don’t ,so end up deficient in something without a vitamin supplement,

    yes..It is very important. I take one everyday.

    Abosolutely! I take a "One A Day" vitamins, and I can tell that I don’t get sick as easily, even when I’m around others that are. It definitely help strengthen immune system, and of course gives your body what it needs!
