Five conclusions that can be drawn from this research are: 1) Mild vitamin deficiencies are common in the general population and contribute to the development of several different chronic diseases. If there were any one particular Vitamin of crucial importance, then Vitamin A is it. The important factors involved here are in relation to Protein Metabolism and Testosterone production. You see without Vitamin A approxamatly 60 % of protein can go to waste. Vitamin A is required for protein synthesis, RNA synthesis, and cellular division. Vitamin A is needed to convert cholesterol into Testosterone. Vitamin A is classified as a Fat soluble vitamin so it requires fats like Cream, butter etc to be properly absorbed and transported to the Liver. By far the best source of Vitamin A comes from Cod Liver Oil. The RDA is set at 5000 iu per day, but for Weight and Strength Trainers using a high protein diet, a good start would be 10,000 iu per day.
Without a doubt, Vitamin A contributes significantly to Bodybuilding fitness and health.
